Crossroads

"You are now at a crossroads. This is your opportunity to make the most important decision you will ever make. Forget your past. Who are you now? Who have you decided you really are now? Don't think about who you have been. Who are you now? Who have you decided to become? Make this decision consciously. Make it carefully. Make it powerfully." ~Tony Robbins

We make decisions every single second of our lives. What clothes to wear? What food to eat? Whether to go out or stay at home? However, there comes a point in our lives where we have to make big decisions that will really affect our life. Decisions that have far greater impact than people commenting on what you are wearing or wishing you have eaten vegetables or stayed at home. Sometimes in life, you are faced with crossroads. You have to take a direction, in which you know you can never retrace your steps and come back.

I have friends and loved ones which are on crossroads right now. They are faced with choices on how to live their lives. What's more, when faced with dilemmas like this, the only person who can make the decision for you is you. You can ask other people for advice, but in the end, it's all up to you. Besides, you will be the one to face the consequences of your choices.

I wish them luck. I hope they are lucky enough to choose the best path for them or to make the best out of the path they have chosen. I know that there would always be opportunity costs. If you have chosen one thing, then you have not chosen the other things. But I hope, in whatever direction they choose to go, they know that I will always be with them.

People and experiences may have come and go in our lives. We may leave them every time we choose a new path to take, but the memories from these people and the lessons from these experiences will always be with us. It's not that we should not look back. But we should not allow ourselves to live in the past and not move on.

Every decision will impact us no matter what. So, choose wisely. And when you have chosen the path to take, stand for it. Enjoy it and make the best out of it.

Yun na! Pak!
